My Little Artist

I really do hope that Jackson takes after his Mommy and my love of the arts. I love to create things--anything really. And I LOVE music. Everything about it. I will always vote for more creative arts in school, FYI. Math--p*sha! Science--pffft! Creative arts classes--bring it on!

Someday, Jackson will play the guitar (and piano if Mommy has anything to do with it!) and sing and create stuff too. Right now, we practice! He LOVES to "white". He always wants to write. On everything (including envelops)...and he loves markers. He knows he is only allowed to write on paper and he's pretty careful, too.

Today, while Mommy is on a mission to get ALL products/cards/weddings/orders/sessions/disc of images/dvd slideshows COMPLETE by December 1st, Jackson has been a good sport and colored nearly all day. Seriously. I brought my computer downstairs so that I can still play trains at the drop of a hat, but he was content with sitting at the picnic table next to me drawing. I bought him a sketch book and he's been working away at filling it! I'm trying to take pictures of all his Picaso work and then someday make a book out of all of them...someday!

Fun with Friends...and Popsicles!

On Friday, I had a full house...a 3 year old, a 2 year old, and a 1 year old! My friend Melissa's mom came into town to go to Nutcracker Market, so I volunteered to watch her kiddos so they could shop in peace! And, since you can't take strollers, how in the world can a mom shop with a baby on her hip?! So at 9:30am, Hannah Grace and Lil Jackson showed up and spent the whole day playing with JackJack! He really enjoyed having other kids over, although we had to spend about 10 minutes in time-out b/c we didn't really understand the whole "sharing our toys" thing. He wanted to SHOW them how to use everything, and then would keep it and say "No, Mine!" When I told him he had to share, we would have a meltdown, and on the bottom step we sat. It's hard to understand, I know...he'll get better at it as they come over more, it was just difficult when it's YOUR toys...

Adam was home most of the morning to help shuffle toys--he turned out formal living into a playhouse! ALL the toys from the garage came inside and the kids had a BLAST!

Then, the popsicles! Jackson knows exactly where they are in the freezer and offered everyone one!

Disney on Ice

My friend Melissa called on our way home from Wichita to ask if we wanted to go to Disney on Ice--OF COURSE!! I had her get me 3 tickets and the date was set! YEAH!

So the crew--Me, Jackson (2), Aunt Tacey...Melissa and Hannah Grace (3)...Paige, Eliza (7), Kate (3)...all jammed into one Chrysler Town & Country mini-van! Car seats and all! Melissa sat on the floor and Paige squeezed her little butt in the back with the car seats! Such good sports! The kids LOVED it!

The show started and Jackson was in AWE! I can't wait to take him to Disney World--he will piss himself! He could NOT believe that Mickey Mouse was right in front of him! The theme included The Incredibles on a trip to Disney and then Mickey and Minnie get kidnapped and they have to rescue them...kinda weird, not MY fav, but Jackson loved every minute! He danced and sang along...and all the kids had a great time!
